Mission
LISC operates as a not-for-profit development bank and technical advisor for community organizations dedicated to revitalizing their neighborhoods.

Yes, principally with Allstate Insurance which has a representative on the board and provides grants and loan funds to the program. At the national level, State Farm Insurance has made a similar commitment.

Recent accomplishments and major awards:
LISC/Chicago is successfully completing a $45 million compaign to support its programs. Over the past 20 years, we have provided financing to roughly 100 different organizations for the development of 11,000 units of affordable housing; nearly 3 million square feet of office space; and numerous health care, day care and other community facilities.
