Do you currently partner with or help fund any non-profit organizations or community groups in urban areas?
Yes

If yes, which ones? In what ways?
Liberty Mutual prides itself on being an active member of the communities in which we operate. This long-standing commitment in urban communities has resulted in a variety of partnerships with and financial support for national and local community, professional and institutional groups and initiatives.

National examples of Liberty Mutual's commitment include a partnership with the National Fair Housing Alliance to expand homeowners insurance opportunities to urban homeowners. We also support the efforts of The Initiative for a Competitive Inner City, the NAACP, The National Urban League, and INROADS to provide internship opportunities to minority students across the country. In addition, we are a long-time supporter of the United Way as well as such urban-focused groups as the Organization for a New Equality (ONE), a national organization dedicated to increasing opportunity in urban communities, and the Boston Bank of Commerce, an African-American owned and managed bank.

Liberty Mutual is also active within local communities. For example, through the efforts of employees in our Milwaukee office, we have sponsored such community events as the 1998 L.A.N.D. Fare Celebration and the Fourth Annual Milwaukee Gospel Music Festival/Kids Against Crime Rally, various Neighborhood Housing Services, and Habitat for Humanity.

Through our Group Savings Plus program, we provide discounted insurance to employees and members of associations such as local chapters of the African-American Chamber of Commerce, Milwaukee City Employees, The Interdenominational Theological Center, and many Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
