Mission
It is the mission of the Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership
to provide safe, decent and affordable housing opportunities, and to create
healthy, viable neighborhoods.
Do you currently partner with insurers or representatives of the insurance industry?
Yes.
If yes, in what ways?
Insurers participate in the INHP homeownership training and education
program; the INHP home buyer's fairs; and financially, through corporate and
individual contributions.
Do you educate homeowners or others about insurance? If so, how?
INHP offers a home buyer education program that is open to the public.
Participants are typically first time home buyers, many of whom are in the low
and moderate income brackets. The curriculum focuses on credit, mortgages,
realtors, inspection, closing, and tax benefits. We have a section that focuses
exclusively on insurance. Over 500 families complete this training each year.
